Redefining southern rock with witty lyrics and beat-oriented sounds, they mesmerized the crowd as the headliner for the Atlanta MySpace.com show at the House of Blues in December, and at the 2005 Atlanta Music Guide Awards they were voted “Best Band” and “Best Live Show.” According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Family Force 5 is “An unpredictable mix of punk, rock, rap, and funk that is difficult to define…with a lot of humor.” Atlanta has stamped their approval on this party!
Family Force 5 was formed two years ago by brothers Solomon “Soul Glow Activator” Olds (guitar, lead vocals), Jacob “Crouton” Olds (drums, vocals), and his twin Joshua, “Fatty” Olds (bass, vocals), and also features Nathan “Nadaddy” Currin (keyboards) and Derek “Chap Stique” Mount (guitar). Maverick Records inked a deal with the band after getting a hold of their self-produced video for the song “Kountry Gentlemen,” which has already garnered significant local airplay.
Maverick Records was founded in 1997 by Madonna and is led by Chairman Guy Oseary. Maverick is home to multi-platinum artists such as Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch, Deftones & Story of the Year. For more information go to: www.maverick.com.

Legendary Metal Act VENOM Release
New Studio Album Metal Black
April 4th, 2006 on Sanctuary Records
Venom, the heaviest band on the planet, a true forefather and inventor of black metal, has returned. Since debuting with the landmark album Welcome to Hell in 1981, this band has always served up raw, dark, brutal and powerful music. Now in April 2006, just when everyone thought metal music couldn't get any heavier, Venom is back to unleash Metal Black.
Venom is a band that has influenced music makers the world over with their visceral albums. Releases such as Black Metal, and songs like Warhead, is some of the most familiar and celebrated musical accomplishments in metal. The band's live shows have always taken onstage antics and pyrotechnics to another level, raising the bar for their contemporaries and still drawn upon by new artists. Venom is, in essence, a legendary band who always delivers the ultimate in extreme music.
Metal Black sees original founding band member Cronos, together with longstanding members Antton and Mykvs, creating a new masterpiece of metal. This is such an exciting album for the band - and for all fans of Venom - with 14 brand new roaring and vital tracks. Venom is again taking the goat by the horns and reinventing their own original style, as controversial as ever. Venom brings their brand of metal into the 21st century in the form of Metal Black, an album that harkens back to their earlier style. With production quality powerful enough to incinerate any sound system, and with the delivery of a charging beast, this is music at its heaviest. This is metal of the darkest kind. This is Metal Black.
METAL MANIA – STRIPPED ACROSS AMERICA – LIVE
All Metal, All Acoustic

One the greatest things MTV did was MTV UNPLUGGED (Well if you ask Howard Stern, He actually created Unplugged. Can we all say, delusional?). One of the worst things MTV did was cancel HeadBangers Ball. Becuz we all know, 80’s Metal was and still is the Greatest Music EVER! With the onslaught of 80’s bands going back on tour and because of MTV Unplugged and 80’s Metal, Immortal Records came out with Metal Mania Stripped DVD. So we can all remember how great the 80’s Big Hair bands where and still are.
This DVD contains some of the greatest 80’s Hard Rock/ballads ever to grace our airwaves. With bands like Winger, Stephen Pearcy (formally of RATT), Jani Lane of Warrant, Slaughter, ect… This DVD is just a classic in the making. Sound and video quality is top notch in this DVD. Filmed at,The Key Club in Hollywood CA on Feb 7th 2005 and MYTH in St. Paul, MN on Oct 31st 2005.
Get a up-close and personal with this footage.
Some of the highlights (My personal favorites) are:
Jani Lane doing Uncle Toms Cabin
Stephen Pearcy covering: Back for More
Slaughter: Fly to the Angels (Mark has incredible vocal range)
Great White: Save Your Love
Plus hear other great tunes from bands such as: Winger, Firehouse, L.a Guns and more. With Special Performance by Mike Trammp of White Lion “When The Children Die”

BUCKCHERRY - 15
By: Tim Typinski
Band:
Josh Todd-vocals
Xavier Muriel-drums
Keith Nelson- guitar
Stevie D –guitar
Jimmy Ashhurst-bass
Lit up again!
Buckcherry’s new album 15 is a hard hitting, no frills, REAL rock n roll album. I love the fact that there are some guys out there that still know the meaning of rock n roll. Buckcherry is a morphed version of The Black Crows on crack, the rugged guitar riffs and hard-hitting vocals are a true testament to rock music. Critics say that Buckcherry’s music hasn’t evolved much beyond what it was on 1999’s inaugural recording, but why mess with a good thing? These guys know how to lay it down and anyone that thinks they should stray away from that should be tarred and feathered!
The albums first track “So Far” face plants you right into the heart and soul of the signature Buckcherry sound. “Crazy Bitch” and “Broken Glass” are two more guitar charged rockin tunes on this album.
I guess all rockers really do have soft side, and no this isn’t Monster Ballads it’s Buck f*#kin cherry! They produced two ballads on this album “Carousel” and “Sorry”. Both are great tunes and one if not both are sure to be radio hits.
Buckcherry is back to permeate your nightmares and rock your ass into next week. Every song on this album is great and I would highly recommend picking this one up!
